Cyndi graduated from the American Film Institute in Los Angeles, with a Masters degree in Editing. Since graduation she has been continuously working as an editor and Assistant editor on TV series, feature films. documentaries, shorts and music videos. Recently she completely her second feature film, a family drama called The Adventures of Dally & Spanky for Sony Pictures, releasing summer 2019.

 

She also edited and co-produced IN THE DARK, a feature length documentary film about coal miners in Serbia, which premiered at IDFA and has screened in dozens of festivals worldwide, and was broadcast throughout the Balkans.

 

Her AFI thesis film WAY IN RYE was nominated for a Student Academy Award for best narrative short, and was selected for the prestigious Camerimage Film Festival and is currently continuing it's festival run. Her second thesis film DIRTY LAUNDRY was a semi-finalist for the 41st Student Academy Awards, and has received the ASC Linwood Dunn Heritage Award 2014 as well as the DGA Achievement in Filmmaking Award 2014.

 

Prior to AFI, Cyndi enjoyed a successful career in New Mexico producing and editing promotional TV spots, documentaries and narrative films. In 2008, she won a best editing award at the Duke City Shootout, since then, she had edited several films including PLUSH, which screened at the 2011 Seattle International Film Festival and won 1st place for Horror Comedy at the Dragon*Con Film Festival.

 

Cyndi continues to search for projects that inspire her whether they are narrative or documentary film.
